Who we are

NightBuddy is made by Kandi Dreams. It helps parents create personalized AI lullabies for their children. We take privacy seriously because our users are families.

What we collect

When you use NightBuddy, we may collect:

• A child's first name, age, favorite things, and pet's name — the details you enter to personalize each song.
• The songs you generate — audio files, titles, and lyrics — stored so you can replay them.
• An anonymous account ID — a random string we use to keep your songs synced across sessions. We do not require your name, email, password, or any personally identifying information unless you contact our support.
• Subscription status — whether you are a free user or premium subscriber.

We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, your child's photos or voice recordings, your location, your contacts, or any health information.

How we use it

We use the information you provide solely to:

1. Generate the lullaby you asked for — the child's name and details are sent to our music and lyric services so the song can include them.
2. Save your songs so you can listen again.
3. Track whether you have an active subscription.
4. Respond to any support email you send us.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share with

To make NightBuddy work, we share certain information with these services:

• Apple — for in-app purchases and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — to verify subscription status. They receive only an anonymous user ID.
• Supabase — our database provider, which stores your songs and your child's details. Servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union).
• Kie AI (using Suno) — to generate the music. We send the child's name, age, and details so the song can be personalized.
• Anthropic — to generate the lyrics. We send the same personalization details.

Each provider has its own privacy practices. We picked them carefully, and we encourage you to review their policies if you want more detail.

Children's information

NightBuddy is a tool for parents and adults to create songs for the children in their lives. We do not direct the app at children, and the people using the app are expected to be adults.

That said, the songs are about real children — which means the app processes a child's first name and age. When you, as a parent, type your child's details into NightBuddy, you are giving us permission to use them to make the song you asked for.

If you are under 18, please use NightBuddy with a parent or guardian's permission.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union) who attempt to use the app independently.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Delete a song — tap and hold the song in your library.
• Delete all your data — email us and we will erase your data from our servers within 30 days.
• Request a copy of your data — same email, and we will send what we have within 30 days.
• Cancel your subscription — via your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, at any time.

If you are in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How long we keep your data

We keep your songs and child profile for as long as you use the app. If you stop using the app and don't return, we retain your data for 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

If you ask us to delete everything sooner, we will do so within 30 days.

Security

Your data travels over encrypted connections. Our database is secured with industry-standard access controls. We do not store credit card information — payment is handled entirely by Apple.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we'll note it in the app's "What's New" section on the App Store.
